Erin Babinsky is a technical leader with a rich background in cross-functional and applied research teams, specializing in conversational AI, large language models, natural language processing, data curation, and data annotation.
With a deep understanding of intent classification, semantic search, and entity recognition models for conversational AI, Erin is currently focused on customizing large language models (LLMs) through data curation, post-training, and model evaluation.
Erin holds a DPhil in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Brain and Cognitive Science and Psychology from the University of Rochester.
Having held key roles such as Director, Senior Manager, and Manager Data Science at Capital One, Erin has also contributed as a Research Scientist at the Indiana University School of Optometry and as a Data Science Consultant at Pivigo.
Previously, Erin served as a Fulbright Scholar at Universitat Pompeu Fabra - UPF, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University, School of Optometry, and held academic positions at the University of Oxford as an Assistant Praefectus and Tutor in Preliminary Perception.
