    Daniel Hornett is a humanitarian engineer with a keen focus on policy and multilateral collaboration. He is an engineer in training who successfully passed the national Professional Engineer licensure exam in October 2020.

    Daniel pursued his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and completed his high school education in California.

    Throughout his career, Daniel has held various vital roles in different organizations. He currently serves as an Assistant Engineer at the County of Napa. Previously, he co-founded and led The Lens as CEO, worked as a Junior Engineer at the County of Napa, acted as the SPI Focal Point for Science Communication and Citizen Science at the UN Major Group for Children and Youth, led Engineers Without Borders USA as President, oversaw media production as the Director and Producer at Yellow Glass Media, represented the US and Canada as a Correspondent at Fair Air Coalition, and managed projects at Engineers Without Borders USA.
